Previous update
Automatic server backup and community photos work only in versions where those features are enabled. If an option is missing in your app, it is not available yet.
- Note which phase you're in to see your records and charts by phase. The app never decides or suggests a phase.
- DoseWeek gathers what you recorded to show the flow. It never interprets your records or decides a cause.
- Note what you spend on your treatment, such as medication, injection supplies and tests, and see it all together.
- A place to share your days and feelings with others on the same treatment. Community posts are not medical advice.
- Motivation notifications warmly encourage you to keep recording. You can turn them off in Settings at any time.
Earlier update
- Sign in with Apple or Google and keep your records in sync across your devices.
- Synced records are end-to-end encrypted, so even we can't read them.
- Add past doses all at once: choose the period and how often, then check the list before adding.
- The AI record assistant creates weekly summaries, general meal ideas and app-help answers. It always asks before sending your records.
- A cleaner design that's easier to read.
Getting started
How to use DoseWeek in six steps, from setup to your first record and backup.
- Open DoseWeek and set it up
Read the privacy notice and choose whether to allow optional usage analytics; every core feature works without it. Usage analytics and overseas data transfer are both optional and off by default. Analytics starts only after you explicitly consent to both. Declining or withdrawing either consent keeps core features available and preserves your health records. You can withdraw either consent at any time in Settings. Then tap Get Started, or choose Restore from backup, Import records from another app or Manage records without a plan.
Where are my records, and can support see them? - Set your schedule
Choose your medication and dose, then pick Repeat every few days or Pick dates on a calendar; you can change the plan later in Settings > Treatment plan. Reminders and Apple Health reading are optional.
Choose your own injection dates - Record an injection
On Today, tap Review injection, answer Yes, I did, then check the details and save. Your records appear in History, where you can also add a past injection or correct a record.
Correct a record - Record meals
Open Body and switch to Meals. Enter only the values you know, or use Search food to find items in the built-in offline food list.
Record meals - Import earlier records
Choose Import records in History > Tools, or Import records from another app in Settings > Privacy and data. Review the records from your CSV, TSV or JSON file; only the ones you select are added.
Bring records from another app - Backups, reminders and privacy choices
In Settings, export an encrypted backup, adjust Notifications and change Usage analytics (optional) at any time. You can withdraw either the usage analytics consent or the overseas data transfer consent independently in Settings. You do not need to delete your health records to withdraw consent. Add the DoseWeek widget to your Home Screen to see your next injection at a glance. While Plus is active, you can separately consent to turn on sync between your devices. App records are end-to-end encrypted on the device; the server cannot read them. Free users can still manually export and import files and use the in-app backup reminder. DoseWeek does not use iCloud to back up app data. A backup file you manually export to a cloud location you choose is a separate path governed by that provider.

Quick answers
FAQ and troubleshooting
The most common questions about records, Apple Health, reminders, backups, sensitive exports, App Lock, on-device AI, Plus and ads.
Where are my records, and can support see them?
Health records, including schedules, administrations, notes and body measurements, stay on your device by default. The developer does not receive them in readable form; if you turn on account sync, they are sent to the server only end-to-end encrypted, so the developer cannot read them. Content you consent to and send to the AI record assistant (Pro) is not end-to-end encrypted. Exports, backups and optional integrations are described separately. Optional usage analytics follows the rules below.
For details, see the Privacy Policy.
Before deleting the app or moving to another device, create and export an encrypted backup if you want to keep your records. A backup made on iPhone or iPad can be restored only in DoseWeek on iPhone or iPad. DoseWeek on other platforms uses different backup formats, so backup files cannot be moved between platforms.
What does DoseWeek read from Apple Health?
Apple Health access is read-only and limited to exactly five body metrics you permit: weight, BMI, body fat percentage, lean body mass, and waist circumference. DoseWeek never writes to Apple Health.
You can change access in iOS Settings at any time. Manual body-metric entry remains available.
Why did a reminder not arrive?
DoseWeek schedules local notifications directly on your device and does not use a push server. The exception is motivation notifications written by AI, which you can turn on with Free, Plus or Pro: they arrive by remote push. Check that notifications are allowed for DoseWeek in iOS Settings, then review the reminder options in the app.
Notifications never include dose amounts. You can choose whether a medication name appears.
How do backups and recovery codes work?
The file-backup details below describe manual export and import.
A backup is created only when you choose to make one. It is encrypted on the device and leaves the app only when you explicitly export it through the system file picker, saving it to a location you choose in the Files app. App data is not included in iPhone or iPad backups.
Keep the exported file and its recovery code secure. The developer has access to neither and cannot recover a lost code or decrypt the file for you. Never share either with support.
Are PDF and CSV exports encrypted?
PDF and CSV exports are plaintext files generated on device only when you request them. They are delivered to the destination you choose in the system share sheet. After sharing, DoseWeek and the developer cannot control copies or retention.
Choose a trusted destination, then store and delete exported files securely. An encrypted DoseWeek backup is different from a plaintext PDF or CSV.
Why is an AI feature unavailable?
Optional AI entry and Visit Prep use only Apple’s on-device model. Availability depends on the device, Apple Intelligence status, and supported system language. These two features send nothing off your device. The AI record assistant (Pro) is a different feature: it is processed on a server, with a third-party model. Only after your separate consent, what you confirm and send goes through the DoseWeek server to Google’s AI service (Google Cloud), which creates the answer. It needs an internet connection and can be paused for a while; the app tells you when that happens. The Privacy Policy describes it under “AI record assistant (Pro)”.
If the model is unavailable, DoseWeek explains the fallback and the normal manual entry or deterministic Visit Prep view remains available.
What if Face ID or the device passcode becomes unavailable?
Set a passcode again in iOS Settings, return to DoseWeek, then unlock. App Lock cannot be turned off without authentication. Support cannot unlock the app remotely.
How do I delete my records?
Use Settings > Delete All Local Records in DoseWeek. DoseWeek immediately removes the records and on-device recovery code, then securely cleans the private database files.
If iOS temporarily prevents that cleanup, the app tells you to run the deletion again or relaunch DoseWeek and automatically retries before reopening the database. Deleted records are not restored. Manage exported files and calendar-provider copies separately.
You may decline analytics in the notice and turn it off at any time in Settings > Usage analytics (optional). Core app functions remain available. Turning it off stops future analytics collection and requests a reset of local analytics data and its app-instance identifier. It does not delete data already sent to Google. If analytics has not started in the current app session, this reset is deferred until you turn analytics on again. Deleting local app data also is not a server-deletion request. Contact the address in this policy for data-handling or deletion inquiries. You can withdraw either the usage analytics consent or the overseas data transfer consent independently in Settings. You do not need to delete your health records to withdraw consent. Withdrawing optional consent or resetting local analytics data does not delete records already sent to Google. A deletion request is separate; making a request does not confirm completed erasure.
Automatic server backup and sync
This applies where server backup is offered in your app.
Server backup recovery code
The server backup recovery code has 7 groups of 8 characters. It's different from a backup file's recovery code.
If you lose your recovery code, on a device that still has your records open the server backup screen and tap Back up again with a new code, or turn automatic backup off and on again to make a new code. The old server backup is deleted and that device's records are backed up again. Without a device that has your records, the server backup can't be opened without the old code.
Restore on a new phone
Restoring from a server backup merges with the records on this device and deletes nothing. If it's interrupted, you can continue. Restoring from a server backup needs Plus or Pro.
Restoring a backup file replaces everything currently on this device. Automatic server backup is then turned off on this device, but the server copy stays.
What should I check before restoring or syncing?
If a preview appears, review it and the backup date before confirming. Restoring a file replaces this device’s records; account sync combines records.
Update your other devices to a compatible version before using newer check-in backups. If the app asks for an update or cannot read a backup, keep your existing records and backup file; do not delete them. Learn reading and quiz history is included in backups and sync. If another phone shows “update required” for sync, update DoseWeek on that phone to the latest version. Your records stay on each phone, and sync resumes after the update.
Choose dates and times
Tap a date or time to open the system picker. Use the month or year control for older dates, and AM/PM when shown. Cancel keeps your entry; Done changes the draft. Save the record to keep your changes.
Correct a record
In History, choose the date, then Edit on the record. Save to update that same record. If you change its date, the confirmation helps you find it on the new date. Imported Apple Health measurements are read-only: correct them in the original app.
Add a past injection
In History, choose a past date and add a past administration. Confirm the medicine, dose, unit, and actual time before saving. You can manage records without creating a plan. Records without a plan do not change schedules or stock. For records linked to a plan, check whether stock will be deducted. Restoring an encrypted backup replaces data; it is a separate action.
Find missing measurements
First check the original app, then Apple Health. In DoseWeek, open Body, check the metric and period, and refresh. A blank result does not tell you whether read access was allowed. The measurement date is when it was measured, not when DoseWeek imported it.
Understand left and right
Left and right always mean your own body. My body and Facing me change only how the diagram is displayed. Your selection and saved records keep the same body side. Check the selected name or open the site list to choose by text. You can change the view in Settings too.
Abdomen, upper left · Abdomen, upper right · Abdomen, lower left · Abdomen, lower right · Left thigh, front · Right thigh, front · Back of left upper arm · Back of right upper arm
Record meals
Open Body and switch to Meals. Enter the food name and the totals you know — energy, protein, carbohydrate, fat — and leave anything you do not know blank; a blank value stays unknown and is never estimated. A meal holds up to 100 items and you can keep up to 1,000 favorites. You can also search the built-in offline food table, made from public food data of the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan and Korea. You can now search for 200 foods in the list using names in 17 languages. Search starts with all supported languages; choose specific languages in Settings if you prefer. Searching works without a network connection, values appear as the source reports them, and the app lists each source and licence; foods the table does not cover are typed in as before. Meal records stay on the device, travel in the encrypted backup, have their own CSV export, and are excluded from Visit Prep and the PDF export. They are not nutrition advice or a prescription.
Choose your own injection dates
In the plan editor, switch the schedule mode to chosen dates and select the days in the calendar, up to one year ahead. The preview lists what will be scheduled. A future date closer than the minimum interval in the verified medicine information is blocked at save; records you already made in the past are never blocked. After the last chosen date the plan stays active and offers to add more dates.
Reference ranges on body charts
The weekly weight-change and BMI charts can show a published general reference (WHO, CDC, NHS, NICE, the Korean Society for the Study of Obesity, the Japan Society for the Study of Obesity) or a personal target you set. Nothing is preselected and the label carries only the range and its source, never a category word. In percent mode an official band is converted for each interval, with a note saying so. A reference is general population information, not advice about your treatment.
Calendar sync
Calendar sync is off until you turn it on in Settings, and iOS asks for full calendar access at that point. Once on, DoseWeek writes up to 24 upcoming injection days within the next 84 days as 30-minute events in the one calendar you choose. The title is “Personal reminder” unless you choose “Injection day”; medication, dose, site, notes and alerts are never written. Only the events DoseWeek created are updated or removed, and an event you edit yourself is left alone from then on. If the calendar belongs to an account such as iCloud, Google or Exchange, that account stores and syncs the events under its own policy, including to anyone the calendar is shared with.
Backups between versions
The file-backup details below describe manual export and import.
The new features raise the format numbers of the app database and the encrypted backup file. Backups written by earlier versions still restore, but a backup written by the new version cannot be restored by an earlier version, so keep the app updated on every device you restore to. Meal records and chart reference settings are included in the backup. Calendar event links stay on the device: they are not in the backup and are kept when you restore on the same device. Your choice of reference medication for the estimate stays on this device: it is not included in a backup and is kept when you restore on the same device.
Supported devices
Use DoseWeek on iPhone and iPad with iOS 26.0 or later. On iPhone, use the app in portrait; you can turn a full-screen chart sideways.
Bring records from another app
You can import past administrations from a CSV, TSV or JSON file, or paste a table. One import takes up to 10,000 records, a source file larger than 10 MB is refused rather than cut, and a saved review draft is limited to 4 MiB on iPhone and iPad. Symptom and unclassified rows cannot be saved yet and must be deselected; their source text is kept so nothing is lost. Rows that may be duplicates are marked for review and nothing is saved until you confirm. This is not a backup restore. The step-by-step import guide, from the AI prompt to adding the reviewed records, is at doseweek-legal.wonyoungchoi.dev/import/.
Is DoseWeek free?
Yes. DoseWeek is a free download, and Free users see ads. Recording, History, Body charts, the estimate, fixed 4, 8 and 12-week Visit Prep, meals, manual file exports and imports, backup reminders, calendar sync, reminders, widgets and App Lock remain free.
Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription, monthly or annual, that removes ads and adds extra tools. The price and billing period are shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy.
What does Plus add, and what stays free?
Plus removes ads and adds end-to-end encrypted sync across your devices, the weekly report and milestones, patterns in recorded side effects, and weight goal and trend estimates (last 3 months). Pro adds, on top of everything in Plus, the AI record assistant, the visit report as a PDF with charts, period comparisons and a rolling 12-month view, supply forecasts and refill reminders, themes and Today layouts, and meal templates. Reports and estimates use only values you recorded and give no medical advice. With Plus or Pro, you can also record a dose on Apple Watch with Dose taken.
For details, see the Privacy Policy.
Where customization appears in Settings, Plus lets you choose the app’s appearance and colors. Pro includes this too. The default appearance and accessibility settings are free. When access ends, your choice is kept and the default appearance is used. Your saved choice is available again when access is verified.
Basic widgets are free. Where available, widget colors and display customization require Pro. Plus and monthly Plus rewards do not include them. When Pro ends, your choice is kept and the default appearance is used. Your saved choice is available again when Pro access is verified.
Recording, History, Body charts, the estimate, fixed 4, 8 and 12-week Visit Prep, meals, manual file exports and imports, backup reminders, calendar sync, reminders, widgets and App Lock remain free. If a subscription ends, your records, templates and saved settings are kept, and you can still view and delete them; report settings and the Today layout return to the Free defaults until you subscribe again.
How do I cancel, change plan or restore Plus?
Plus renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel or change your plan in your Apple Account's subscription settings, which you can open from Settings in DoseWeek. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next charge; Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for. A change between monthly and annual takes effect at your next renewal date, and the app shows the pending plan and date.
On a new device or after reinstalling, sign in with the same Apple Account and tap Restore purchases in Settings. Deleting the app or its data does not cancel the subscription. Refunds are requested from Apple and handled under Apple's policies.
Watch an ad for monthly Plus
Ads keep the free version free. Free users see banners on Today, Meals, History and Body, and occasionally a full-screen ad after closing certain help or food-settings sheets. Ads never cover record buttons or safety notices and never appear while you record. If you like, you can watch an ad to use certain Plus or Pro tools for 24 hours or for one export. You see this ad only when you choose it, and there is no payment. What you opened is saved only on this device. After you close the weekly recap, a rewarded full-screen ad that you can skip may appear. These ads also never appear while you record or on safety guidance. Ads are non-personalized, and Plus removes them.
You can choose to watch one ad and then use DoseWeek without ads for 24 hours. The offer sits next to the Ad label and in Settings, and the condition is shown before the ad starts. It is optional and not a purchase: closing the ad early grants nothing, and declining changes no Free feature. You can earn at most two rewards in any rolling 24 hours, and remaining ad-free time never exceeds 48 hours. While a pass is active, another rewarded ad is offered only when 24 hours or less remain. The pass pauses if the device clock is set back more than five minutes from the latest time the app has seen. While the pass is active, automatic ads and Plus subscription offers are hidden. After the app update that adds the monthly Plus reward, this offer no longer appears.
Where this offer appears, a signed-in Free account can choose to watch an ad for 7 days of Plus. It starts when the server confirms the reward, once per UTC calendar month. It is not a subscription, has no automatic billing and does not include Pro.
After watching the whole ad, wait for reward verification. Closing early or not earning the reward does not start Plus. You do not need to watch another ad while verification is pending. If it stays pending, contact us through Help.
Check the end time and next eligible date in the app. This benefit ends after 7 days. An existing paid subscription stays unchanged. If the subscription status cannot be checked, wait for verification.
The existing 24-hour ad-free pass is a separate benefit. It does not unlock Plus features, and remaining time stays under its original conditions.
I bought DoseWeek before it was free. What changes for me?
New and prior users keep existing core features Free. If, before the app became free, you bought it or got it on iPhone or iPad with an App Store promo code, you can apply in the app for 3 months of Plus free, once per original acquisition. It starts no charge, does not renew and returns you to Free when it ends. Each account can receive it once. If you already pay for Plus, the 3 months run from approval at the same time and are not saved for later. The free trial applies only when the store confirms first-subscription eligibility, under the displayed conditions. An earlier purchase does not guarantee ad-free use or permanent ad removal.
Recording, History, Body charts, the estimate, fixed 4, 8 and 12-week Visit Prep, meals, manual file exports and imports, backup reminders, calendar sync, reminders, widgets and App Lock remain free. Every feature you use and all your records stay as they are.
How do I change my ad privacy choices or report an ad?
Open Settings > Privacy choices for ads. Where the law requires a choice, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or some US states, this opens Google's consent form so you can change your choice; elsewhere it explains that no choice is needed in your region. Ad choices are separate from Usage analytics (optional): changing one does not change the other. If you decline, Free users still see limited, non-personalized ads, and every Free feature keeps working.
To report an inappropriate ad, tap the AdChoices icon on the ad, or use Report an ad in Settings, which opens an email with the time and screen. Do not add health details. Section 11 of the privacy policy explains what Google processes for ads.
Safety
A record is not medical advice
Treatment questions
DoseWeek does not diagnose, treat, recommend a dose, or tell you that it is safe to inject. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about symptoms, timing, missed doses, or treatment changes.
Urgent help
If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service immediately. Do not wait for an email response from app support.
Food data sources
Food data tables: this version includes an offline, read-only food table built from public data (USDA FoodData Central, public domain under CC0 1.0 with attribution requested; UK CoFID under the Open Government Licence v3.0; the Japanese MEXT Standard Tables of Food Composition under the MEXT data-use statement and site terms; Korean MFDS data under the data.go.kr grant with no use restriction). Food search runs only on the device: what you type and the results are not sent anywhere, and the table is not downloaded or updated over the network. Your market and search-language choices and the foods you save as favorites from the table are stored on the device and included in the encrypted backup. Values are shown as the source reports them and are general reference information. The app lists each source, licence and attribution.
