  • Wins beyond the scale: note changes like more energy, better sleep or how your clothes fit.
  • Bug fixes and stability improvements.

Previous update

Automatic server backup and community photos work only in versions where those features are enabled. If an option is missing in your app, it is not available yet.

  • Note which phase you're in to see your records and charts by phase. The app never decides or suggests a phase.
  • DoseWeek gathers what you recorded to show the flow. It never interprets your records or decides a cause.
  • Note what you spend on your treatment, such as medication, injection supplies and tests, and see it all together.
  • A place to share your days and feelings with others on the same treatment. Community posts are not medical advice.
  • Motivation notifications warmly encourage you to keep recording. You can turn them off in Settings at any time.

Earlier update

  • Sign in with Google or Apple and keep your records in sync across your devices.
  • Synced records are end-to-end encrypted, so even we can't read them.
  • The AI record assistant creates weekly summaries, general meal ideas and app-help answers. It always asks before sending your records.
  • A cleaner design that's easier to read.

Getting started

How to use DoseWeek in six steps, from setup to your first record and backup.

  1. Open DoseWeek and set it up

Confirm that you are 18 or older, read the privacy notice and choose whether to allow optional usage analytics; every core feature works without it. Usage analytics and overseas data transfer are both optional and off by default. Analytics starts only after you explicitly consent to both. Declining or withdrawing either consent keeps core features available and preserves your health records. You can withdraw either consent at any time in Settings. Then set up your plan, or restore a backup, import records from another app or manage records without a plan.

  2. Set your schedule

Choose your medication and dose, then pick Repeating schedule or Pick dates; you can change the plan later in Settings > Treatment plan. Reminders are optional.

Can I choose specific injection dates?
  3. Record an injection

On Today, tap Record administration, answer Yes, I did, then check the details and save. Your records appear in History, where you can also add a past injection or correct a record.

  4. Record meals

In the Body tab, open Meals. Enter only the values you know, or search the built-in offline food list.

Can I record meals and nutrition?
  5. Import earlier records

Tap Import records in History > Tools, or Import records from another app in Settings > Privacy and data. Review the records from your CSV, TSV or JSON file; only the ones you select are added.

Can I bring records from another app?
  6. Backups, reminders and privacy choices

In Settings, export an encrypted backup, adjust Notifications and change Usage analytics (optional) at any time. You can withdraw either the usage analytics consent or the overseas data transfer consent independently in Settings. You do not need to delete your health records to withdraw consent. Add the DoseWeek widget to your Home Screen to see your next injection at a glance. While Plus is active, you can separately consent to turn on sync between your devices. App records are end-to-end encrypted on the device; the server cannot read them. Free users can still manually export and import files and use the in-app backup reminder. Android OS Google Drive Auto Backup includes DoseWeek app data; it backs up one end-to-end encrypted copy of your records and supported settings, including Plus tool data, with no device, database or sync key in it. Android sends it only when that backup is end-to-end encrypted with your screen lock (or during a direct device-to-device transfer); without a screen lock that run is skipped and the previous backup stays as it is. When the app is uninstalled, DoseWeek does not delete existing Drive backups, and you can still restore an existing backup; Delete All asks Android to delete this backup at the next backup. This backup is kept in your Google account under Google's rules, separately from DoseWeek server copies; you can manage or delete it in your Google account's backup settings.

Can I back up or restore my records?
Do not include health information, medication or administration records, personal notes, a backup file, or a recovery code in a support email.

FAQ and troubleshooting

Where are my records stored?

The developer does not receive them in readable form; if you turn on account sync, they are sent to the server only end-to-end encrypted, so the developer cannot read them. Content you consent to and send to the AI record assistant (Pro) is not end-to-end encrypted.

For details, see the Privacy Policy.

Do I need to sign in or create an account?

You may optionally sign in to a DoseWeek account with Google or Apple. Existing local-record features remain available without sign-in. Linking a verified Plus subscription from Google Play to your DoseWeek account enables encrypted sync.

For details, see the Privacy Policy.

Does DoseWeek use AI or Health Connect?

DoseWeek for Android includes the optional AI record assistant (Pro). It is processed on a server, not on the device. Only after separate consent, Google’s generative AI (Google Cloud) creates weekly summaries, general meal ideas and app-help answers. With the free plan, Plus or Pro, motivation notifications written by AI also use it, but only if you turn them on and give separate consent. No other feature uses generative AI. Optional on-device voice and food-label recognition help with input; diagnostic data that food-label recognition sends to Google requires separate consent, as described in the Privacy Policy. Health Connect is now an optional read-only import of weight, height, body fat percentage, and lean body mass: the app asks for read permissions only, never write or delete, and imports nothing until you grant that permission. Every administration record is still entered and confirmed by hand.

Does DoseWeek provide notifications, reminders, or widgets?

Optional reminders and a home-screen widget are available. DoseWeek can schedule local reminders on your device for the next dose, a follow-up after a missed dose, and low supply. They stay off until you turn them on and grant the notification permission. By default the reminder text reveals nothing about your treatment; the medication name appears only if you enable it, and dose amounts never appear. Tapping a reminder only opens the app, so nothing is ever recorded from a notification. There are no wearable apps.

Can I back up or restore my records?

The file-backup details below describe manual export and import.

Yes. In Settings, use Android's system file picker to manually save all app data in an encrypted file, and select that file to restore. A separate recovery code is required. Backups can be restored only in DoseWeek for Android. DoseWeek on other platforms uses a different backup format, so backups cannot be moved between platforms.

This export needs no DoseWeek account and no broad storage permission, and the export itself uses no network access. If you choose an external or cloud document provider, its terms and policies apply. In either case the developer receives neither the file nor its recovery code and cannot reset a lost code or decrypt the file. Restore checks the whole file before it replaces your current data.

For details, see the Privacy Policy.

How do I delete all records?

Use Delete all data in DoseWeek Settings. Uninstalling the app also causes Android to delete local app data. Backup files saved outside the app are not deleted automatically; delete them separately through Android's file app or their document provider. Backups you uploaded to your own Google Drive are not removed by uninstalling either: delete them from the backup list inside the app, or by removing the app's data from your Google account.

For details, see the Privacy Policy.

Can support recover deleted records or my recovery code?

If you turn it on separately, DoseWeek encrypts all your records on the device (injection plans and their changes, dose records, meals, body measurements, supplies and import history) together with supported settings, for sync between your devices. The settings that sync are appearance (colour and light or dark mode), the weight-change unit, the body map view, whether injection reminders are on, whether reminders show details or the medication name, recording without a plan, supply tracking, and your food search market and search-language choices. When one of these is changed on another device, this device applies it and tells you once about an important change, such as reminders or supply tracking. Sync never turns on an AI feature: you turn it on yourself on each device. Permissions, connections and display choices that belong to a single device are not synced: notification permission, the app lock, health-data, calendar and cloud-storage connections, and widget appearance. When you restore from Settings, the saved settings are applied and the app tells you which settings changed. This is end-to-end encryption, so the operator cannot read your health records. A new device needs the recovery code; if it is lost, the developer cannot recover the encrypted data. An empty device may restore after code confirmation; a device with existing records requires a preview and merge confirmation. Content you consent to and send to the AI record assistant (Pro) is not end-to-end encrypted.

Choose dates and times

Tap a date or time to open the system picker. Use the month or year control for older dates, and AM/PM when shown. Cancel keeps your entry; confirming changes the draft. Save the record to keep your changes. Use the pencil to type dates as YYYY-MM-DD or YYYYMMDD and 24-hour times as HH:mm or HHmm.

Correct a record

In History, choose the date, then Edit on the record. Save to update that same record. If you change its date, the updated record is under the new date. Imported Health Connect measurements are read-only: correct them in the original app.

Add a past injection

In History, choose a past date and add a past administration. Confirm the medicine, dose, unit, and actual time before saving. You can manage records without creating a plan. Records without a plan do not change schedules or stock. For records linked to a plan, check whether stock will be deducted. Restoring an encrypted backup replaces data; it is a separate action. Stock deduction for past entries starts off; review the displayed choice. If a linked plan’s latest injection changes, future unresolved dates may be adjusted.

Find missing measurements

First check the original app and Health Connect. In DoseWeek’s Body screen, check the metric and period. In Settings, open Health Connect and choose Import now. For missing results, check read permissions and permission for past records separately from syncing in the original app. The measurement date is when it was measured, not when DoseWeek imported it.

Understand left and right

Left and right always mean your own body. My body and Front view change only how the diagram is displayed. Your selection and saved records keep the same body side. Check the selected name or open the site list to choose by text. You can change the view in Settings too.

Upper-left abdomen · Upper-right abdomen · Lower-left abdomen · Lower-right abdomen · Left thigh · Right thigh · Left upper arm · Right upper arm

Can I record meals and nutrition?

In the Body tab, the Meals section takes what you type. Enter the food name and the totals you know (energy, protein, carbohydrate, fat) and leave anything you do not know blank; a blank value stays unknown. A meal holds up to 100 items and you can keep up to 1,000 favorites. You can also search the built-in food list offline. You can now search for 200 foods in the list using names in 17 languages. Search starts with all supported languages; choose specific languages in Settings if you prefer. Records stay on the device and travel in the encrypted backup. Meal records are not nutrition advice or a prescription.

In Body → Meals, tap Add meal, then Search food. Type a food name and tap the food you ate yourself; the app never picks one for you. Enter the amount, then add it. If nothing fits, tap the Enter “…” directly row and type the totals yourself. In Settings → Meals → Food search, choose food markets and search languages separately; changing the app language does not change them. Food data sources lists each provider with its version and license. The food list is stored on this device, so search works without the internet. Coverage is shown exactly as the food list states it: Partial, Not checked yet or Blocked. A language with no food names yet finds nothing; add another search language or enter the food directly.

Can I choose specific injection dates?

In the schedule editor, choose the chosen-dates mode and pick several dates in the calendar. The selection is shown as a preview, and a future date closer than the minimum interval in the verified medicine information is blocked at save. Records you already made in the past are never blocked. After the last chosen date the plan stays active and asks you to add more dates.

What do the reference ranges on charts mean?

On the weekly weight-change and BMI charts you can show a published general reference (WHO, CDC, NHS, NICE, the Korean Society for the Study of Obesity, the Japan Society for the Study of Obesity) or a personal target you set. Nothing is preselected, and the label shows only the range and its source, never a category word. A reference is general population information, not advice about your treatment, and your clinician may set a different target.

How does calendar sync work?

It stays off until you turn it on in Settings, and asks for calendar permission separately at that point. Once on, it writes up to 24 upcoming injection days within the next 84 days as 30-minute events in the one calendar you choose. The title is “Personal reminder” by default and becomes “Injection day” only if you choose it; medication, dose, site, notes and alerts are never written. The app updates or deletes only the events it created, and leaves alone any event you edited yourself. Turning sync off lets you delete upcoming events, and events left in the calendar stay there after you uninstall the app.

Can an older version restore a new backup?

No. The new features raise the backup format number, so an earlier version refuses a file written by the new one. The opposite direction still works: backups written by earlier versions restore in the new version. Meal records and chart reference settings are included in the backup; calendar event links and unsaved drafts are not. Your choice of reference medication for the estimate is not included in a backup; choose it again after a restore.

Which devices and Android versions are supported?

Use DoseWeek on Android 14 or later. On Android 8.0 to Android 13, you can keep using the version already installed, but it will not receive updates, and Google Play will not offer new installs on those devices. Some optional AI features need a compatible device; you can still enter records yourself if they are unavailable.

Can I bring records from another app?

You can import past administrations from a CSV, TSV or JSON file, or paste a table directly. One import takes up to 10,000 rows and the saved review draft is limited to 1 MiB. Symptom and unclassified rows cannot be saved yet and must be deselected. Rows that may be duplicates are marked for review, and nothing is saved until you confirm. This is not a backup restore; the preparation guide is at doseweek-legal.wonyoungchoi.dev/import/.

Is DoseWeek free?

Yes. DoseWeek is a free download on Google Play, and Free users see ads. Recording, History, Body charts, the fixed 4, 8 and 12-week visit summary, meals, manual file exports and imports, backup reminders, calendar sync, reminders, the widget and the app lock remain free.

Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription, monthly or annual, that removes ads and adds extra tools. The price and billing period are shown in the app and on Google Play before you buy.

What does Plus add, and what stays free?

Plus removes ads and adds end-to-end encrypted sync across your devices, the weekly report and milestones, patterns in recorded side effects, and weight goal and trend estimates (last 3 months). Pro adds, on top of everything in Plus, the AI record assistant, the visit summary editor, period comparisons and a rolling 12-month view, supply forecasts and refill reminders, themes and Today layouts, and meal templates. Reports and estimates use only values you recorded and give no medical advice.

For details, see the Privacy Policy.

Where customization appears in Settings, Plus lets you choose the app’s appearance and colors. Pro includes this too. The default appearance and accessibility settings are free. When access ends, your choice is kept and the default appearance is used. Your saved choice is available again when access is verified.

Basic widgets are free. Where available, widget colors and display customization require Pro. Plus and monthly Plus rewards do not include them. When Pro ends, your choice is kept and the default appearance is used. Your saved choice is available again when Pro access is verified.

Recording, History, Body charts, the fixed 4, 8 and 12-week visit summary, meals, manual file exports and imports, backup reminders, calendar sync, reminders, the widget and the app lock remain free. If a subscription ends, your records, templates and saved settings are kept, and you can still view and delete them; report settings and the Today layout return to the Free defaults until you subscribe again.

How do I cancel or change my plan?

Plus renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, which you can open from Settings in DoseWeek. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge; Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for.

For details, see the Privacy Policy.

How do I restore Plus on a new device or after reinstalling?

Sign in to Google Play with the account you used to subscribe, open DoseWeek and tap Restore purchases in Settings. The app also checks Google Play when it starts and when you return to it, so a purchase made on another device or in Google Play appears the same way.

For details, see the Privacy Policy.

Watch an ad for monthly Plus

Ads keep the free version free. Free users see one banner above the tab bar on Today, Meals, History and the Measurements section of Body, and occasionally a full-screen ad after closing certain help or food-settings sheets; ads never appear in the record flow, in editors or on safety notices, and never cover a button. The “Remove ads” link next to the Ad label opens Plus. If you like, you can watch an ad to use certain Plus or Pro tools for 24 hours or for one export. You see this ad only when you choose it, and there is no payment. What you opened is saved only on this device. After you close the weekly recap, a rewarded full-screen ad that you can skip may appear. These ads also never appear while you record or on safety guidance. Ads are non-personalized, and Plus removes them. You can also choose to watch one ad to use DoseWeek without ads for 24 hours; it is optional and not a purchase, and closing the ad early grants nothing. You can earn at most two rewards in any rolling 24 hours, and remaining ad-free time never exceeds 48 hours. While a pass is active, another rewarded ad is offered only when 24 hours or less remain. The pass pauses if the device clock is set back more than five minutes from the latest time the app has seen. While the pass is active, automatic ads and Plus subscription offers are hidden. After the app update that adds the monthly Plus reward, this offer no longer appears.

Open Settings > Privacy choices for ads to review or change Google's ad consent where your region requires it; elsewhere it explains that no choice is needed. Ad choices are separate from Usage analytics (optional) and from the 18+ confirmation. If you decline, Free users still see limited, non-personalized ads, and every Free feature keeps working. To report an inappropriate ad, tap the AdChoices icon on the ad or use Report an ad in Settings; do not add health details.

Where this offer appears, a signed-in Free account can choose to watch an ad for 7 days of Plus. It starts when the server confirms the reward, once per UTC calendar month. It is not a subscription, has no automatic billing and does not include Pro.

After watching the whole ad, wait for reward verification. Closing early or not earning the reward does not start Plus. You do not need to watch another ad while verification is pending. If it stays pending, contact us through Help.

Check the end time and next eligible date in the app. This benefit ends after 7 days. An existing paid subscription stays unchanged. If the subscription status cannot be checked, wait for verification.

The existing 24-hour ad-free pass is a separate benefit. It does not unlock Plus features, and remaining time stays under its original conditions.

I bought DoseWeek when it was a paid app. What changes for me?

New and prior users keep existing core features Free. If you bought the app before it became free, you can apply in the app for 3 months of Plus free, once per original acquisition. It starts no charge, does not renew and returns you to Free when it ends. Each account can receive it once. If you already pay for Plus, the 3 months run from approval at the same time and are not saved for later. The free trial applies only when the store confirms first-subscription eligibility, under the displayed conditions. An earlier purchase does not guarantee ad-free use or permanent ad removal.

Recording, History, Body charts, the fixed 4, 8 and 12-week visit summary, meals, manual file exports and imports, backup reminders, calendar sync, reminders, the widget and the app lock remain free. Your records are kept, and nothing is deleted. Google Drive automatic backup is free. Manual backup file export and import stay free.

For details, see the Privacy Policy.

Automatic server backup and sync

This applies where server backup is offered in your app.

Server backup recovery code

The server backup recovery code has 7 groups of 8 characters. It's different from a backup file's recovery code.

If you lose your recovery code, on a device that still has your records open the server backup screen and tap Back up again with a new code, or turn automatic backup off and on again to make a new code. The old server backup is deleted and that device's records are backed up again. Without a device that has your records, the server backup can't be opened without the old code.

Restore on a new phone

Restoring from a server backup merges with the records on this device and deletes nothing. If it's interrupted, you can continue. Restoring from a server backup needs Plus or Pro.

Restoring a backup file replaces everything currently on this device. Automatic server backup is then turned off on this device, but the server copy stays.

What should I check before restoring or syncing?

If a preview appears, review it and the backup date before confirming. Restoring a file replaces this device’s records; account sync combines records.

Update your other devices to a compatible version before using newer check-in backups. If the app asks for an update or cannot read a backup, keep your existing records and backup file; do not delete them. Learn reading and quiz history is included in backups and sync. If another phone shows “update required” for sync, update DoseWeek on that phone to the latest version. Your records stay on each phone, and sync resumes after the update.

Food data sources

Food data tables: this version includes an offline, read-only food table built from public data (USDA FoodData Central, public domain under CC0 1.0 with attribution requested; UK CoFID under the Open Government Licence v3.0; the Japanese MEXT Standard Tables of Food Composition under the MEXT data-use statement and site terms; Korean MFDS data under the data.go.kr grant with no use restriction). Food search runs only on the device: what you type and the results are not sent anywhere, and the table is not downloaded or updated over the network. Your market and search-language choices and the foods you save as favorites from the table are stored on the device and included in the encrypted backup. Values are shown as the source reports them and are general reference information. The app lists each source, licence and attribution.
