Privacy Policy
DoseWeek is a personal record-keeping tool for injection tracking. The following describes exactly how the app actually works.
1. Where Your Data Is Stored
All health records (injection schedules, administration history, injection sites, notes, and body-metric data) are stored only on your device by default. DoseWeek operates no servers and does not automatically transmit or collect your data. Records leave the app only when you explicitly export or share them as described below.
2. Apple Health (HealthKit) Integration
Apple Health integration is read-only. Only the body metrics you allow — weight, body fat percentage, lean body mass, and waist circumference — are read and shown or stored on your device. You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings. DoseWeek does not write any data to Apple Health.
3. Backups and exports
The live clinical database and encrypted local backup envelope are excluded from device backups. A backup is created only when you choose to create one and is encrypted on device with AES-256-GCM. It leaves the app only when you explicitly export it through the system share sheet. You manage the exported ciphertext and recovery code; the developer cannot access either.
PDF and CSV exports are plaintext files generated on device only when you request them. They are delivered to the destination you choose in the system share sheet. After sharing, DoseWeek and the developer cannot control copies or retention; store and delete exported files securely.
4. Notifications
All notifications are local notifications scheduled directly on your device. No push servers are used; notifications never include dose amounts, and you can choose in Settings whether the medication name is shown.
5. Third Parties and Tracking
The app contains no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising. It does not collect usage statistics, track users, or build profiles.
6. Deleting Your Data
Running Settings > Delete All Local Records immediately removes every record from DoseWeek and deletes the on-device recovery code. DoseWeek then securely cleans the private database files. If iOS temporarily prevents that cleanup, the app tells you to run the deletion again or relaunch DoseWeek and automatically retries before reopening the database. Deleted records are not restored. Since no server copies exist, no separate deletion request is needed.

8. On-device AI
Optional AI entry and Visit Prep use only Apple Foundation Models' on-device Apple Intelligence model, SystemLanguageModel.default. AI entry input and structured model output are processed in a temporary in-memory session on the device. DoseWeek does not send them off device or persist the temporary session or output before you confirm. If you continue, your original sentence becomes an editable draft note, and only the fields and note you review and explicitly confirm are stored in the local clinical database. For Visit Prep, the model receives only closed fact identifiers, not clinical values, and returns only order and reviewed-expression enums. The app builds every sentence from localized templates and computed values. The resulting summary is memory-only and is not stored; it is included in a PDF only when you choose to include it. No Private Cloud Compute, server model, or third-party model is used. You can turn these features off in Settings.
